Terms of Service
Effective May 1, 2026 · v1.0 (free beta). Plain-English summary at the top of every section.
§1Who we are
PDFCatalyst is operated by ICTechLabs, a private company headquartered in Singapore. You can reach us at legal@pdfcatalyst.com.
§2What you're agreeing to
By using PDFCatalyst (the website, the editor at /app, or any companion service) you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the service.
§3The service today (free beta)
During the v1 free beta, PDFCatalyst is provided at no cost. There is no signup, no payment, and no account. The editor runs entirely in your browser:
- Files you open do not leave your device.
- Edits, annotations, and bookmarks are saved to your browser's IndexedDB.
- You can clear all stored data at any time via the editor's Reset action or your browser's site-settings panel.
§4Future paid features
Cloud OCR, AI-assisted autofill, password unlock, and a cloud library are listed as "Coming soon." When we ship them they will be optional and clearly marked as paid. Using a future paid feature will require explicit consent and, in some cases, the file to be temporarily uploaded — that flow will be disclosed in-product before any file leaves your device.
§5Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use PDFCatalyst to edit documents you don't have the right to modify.
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or attempt to interfere with the service.
- Use it to produce forged government documents, identity papers, or financial instruments.
- Use it in violation of the laws that apply to you.
§6Your content
You retain all rights to the PDFs you open. We do not claim a license to them and we cannot read them — they never reach our servers. The session token in the ?s=… URL is the only pointer to your work, and it lives only in your URL bar and your browser's IndexedDB.
§7No warranty
The service is provided "as is". We work hard to make exports faithful to your edits, but we do not guarantee the editor is fit for any particular legal, tax, medical, or commercial purpose. Always verify exported PDFs before submitting them to any authority.
§8Limit of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ICTechLabs is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of PDFCatalyst — including data loss, missed deadlines, or rejected documents. Because the service is free during beta, our total liability for any claim is capped at SGD $0.
§9Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service evolves (notably when paid features ship). We will post a new effective date at the top of this page; if changes are material we will surface a notice in the editor. Continued use after changes means you accept the new terms.
§10Termination
You can stop using PDFCatalyst at any time — no account to delete. We can suspend or discontinue any part of the service at any time, with or without notice.
§11Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Singapore, except where mandatory consumer-protection law in your country of residence requires otherwise.
